Seasonal Skincare Routine (Part 1)

Tips for Year-Round Glowing, Smooth Skin Seasonal changes bring shifts in climate and environment that can significantly affect our skin,
from the scorching heat of summer to the chilly winds of winter. Each season requires a specifically designed skincare routine to maintain healthy, radiant skin. In this two-part series, expert advice and tips will help you tackle seasonal skincare challenges in varying weather and environmental conditions, ensuring your skin stays in optimal condition throughout the year.
Summer: Combat Heat and Sun Exposure
Understanding the challenges of summer skin: Sun exposure and outdoor activities increase your skin’s contact with UV rays, sweat, chlorine from swimming pools, and saltwater from beach trips. This can lead to sunburn, dehydration, and inflammatory acne. Protecting and nourishing your skin during these months is essential.
Key Summer Skincare Tips:
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to hydrate skin from within. Use a lightweight, water-based moisturizer to lock in moisture without adding excess oil.
Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate 1–2 times per week to remove sweat, dirt, and dead skin cells that may clog pores. Avoid over-exfoliation, which can strip natural oils from your skin.
After-Sun Care: If exposed to prolonged sunlight, soothe skin with products containing aloe vera or hyaluronic acid to repair and hydrate.

Autumn: Prepare for Cooler Air
Autumn Skincare Adjustments:
Continue Sun Protection: UV rays remain strong during autumn, so daily sunscreen application is still essential.
Repair Summer Damage: Incorporate antioxidants such as vitamin C to help repair sun damage from summer and improve skin texture and tone.
